![]() REUNION MESSAGES
Below are the messages that various Lansmanites have posted on the Message Board after attending the wonderful 2003 Reunion. The names appear before the message they left.
Thanks to: Lois Baskin (Who seemed to be helping
everywhere) , Dani Leiter, Robin Rosenblum, Susan Saltzman (Great Photo's),
Kenny Weisen (Great M.C.), Lisa Ratner (Excellent CD)& Mikey Leiman (Fun
Softball Game & helping organize). Hopefully I didn't forget anyone. All of
you did an OUTSTANDING JOB at creating many more Wonderful Lansman's Memories
for years to come.
It's always been my pleasure and an honor to develop the website. I had a great time at the reunion. It was so wonderful to
see everyone again and I apologize to all the people I never got a chance to
really chat with (such as Chuck R., Stacey E. and Liz). It just means we will
have to do this again soon (hopefully before another 25 years). The Reunion
Committee (Mike, Lois and Robin) did such an outstanding job of putting this
entire weekend together. I'm sorry I missed the Sunday Brunch and didn't get a
chance to say goodbye to many of you.
Driving home from Lansmans listening to the CD
that Lisa Ratner made was the icing on the cake!!!! Especially the last song
Kiss me in the Rain - those words certainly did sound like they were inspired by
summers upstate. WHAT CAN I SAY???? HOW ABOUT THIS WAS THE BEST
WEEKEND. THE REUNION COMMITTEE DID SUCH A FABULOUS JOB, THERE WAS NOT 1 PROBLEM,
EVERYTHING WAS JUST SO PERFECT. KUDOS TO YOU GUYS, YOU CAN ALWAYS TELL WHEN
SOMETHING IS DONE WITH LOVE, AND THIS ENTIRE WEBSITE AND REUNION WAS JUST THAT,
A LABOR OF LOVE. It was really great seeing everyone at the reunion. I was only able to spend a few moments late Saturday afternoon. But taking that group picture by the craft center and talking to some of my closest friends made it all worth it. I enjoyed seeing everyone. And I agree, most of us have not changed at all. Unless my aging eyes are not as accurate as they once were. What was really amazing was the ability to step back into time for a moment where life was simpler and all you had to concern yourself with was getting up to revele! Adam Shapiro I think that we're all so busy with our jobs and families that it becomes easy to forget what a special part of our lives Lansmans and the Lansmanites were. Those of us who were fortunate enough to be there this weekend got to experience something very special. Reliving a happy time in our lives, even if for a day or two, is worth whatever effort it took to get ourselves away from our committments. Although these sentiments are mine, I got the feeling from my conversations that many who were there share them as well. Janis Maidenberg What a weekend! To see multiple generations sharing the same memories was truly amazing. No where else does time stand still as it does on the campgrounds at Lansmans. My brother, Marty, called last night wanting to hear all the details and hopes we schedule another reunion next year so he can attend. I enjoyed re-connecting with old friends and even making a couple of new ones. As my parents always said - "It must be something in the mountain air" because we all looked terrific. Thanks again to all who worked so hard to make this reunion possible. Stacey Elias I think I finally stopped crying somewhere around Delaware. And, yes, I have no
voice today. An amazing weekend. I know I thanked everyone responsible but now I
need to add one. LISA -- that CD made the 7 1/2 hour drive home seem like 7 1/4
hours. No, seriously, I listened to it 7 times and smiled every time it came
around to Society's Child.
This Reunion was SO special! It really went off
just as I'd hoped...better, actually. It's great to hear how much people enjoyed
it...the phrase has been used a whole bunch of times, but it REALLY was a labor
of love...and Lois and Robin ARE the BEST. Ditto, Ditto and more Ditto... This weekend was so incredible that I am speachless, and you guys know that I am never speachless. The Reunion committee did an awesome job. I had so much fun seeing everyone again. It was really special to have my family all there, especially my father, "Fast Eddie Lederkramer". My memories of this weekend will shine with all the great memories of Lansmans in my heart! I love you guys!Lois,Mikey,Robin, Susan,Dani,Lisa,Stacey,Mitch, Adam, and most of all, Kenny, as Jackie Gleason once said,"Baby, You're the Greatest!"I can't wait untill the next Reunion because I need to see more slides of Karne Lansmans. Great photos - great weekend - great friends. Thanks to everyone who put this together. Having a big smile on everyone's face was what the weekend was about. Just reading the posted comments makes you feel like you were there! It really was a very special weekend, but then again, that's what Lansmans was always about - special people and special memories. Thanks to all who did such an incredible job organizing everything - you really did create wonderful new memories. Sorry I didnt get to say goodbye to all, but it was the hellos that were special. Hopefully it won't be another 25 years between hellos. To those who couldn't or didn't attend you were all missed!! It's difficult to explain what you missed other then to say it was a once in a lifetime event that exceed all expectations, it was awsome!!! The reunion commitee did and outstanding job, all our thanks. I do want to extend a special thanks to Kenny who I know was the glue that kept things together and the driving force behind everything, his love for Lansmans, and all of us is quite obvious, and Lois who I rememeber as a special young girl, who reminded me this weekend of the wonderful times we had at the chairs, late night, long ago, talking and laughing, and today as in incredable woman who made sure everything came together so seemlessly and flawlessly, a labor of love. I know she did with only our good times, and memories motivating her. Love you all
Wasn't aware of your sensitive side despite all
that time together on the fields and courts, but your words are so true. Despite
being back at work on a Monday morning, it was really not that bad, as I spent
more time talking about the weekend and feeling so good, that the day moved
pretty painlessly. What was really so incredible about the weekend was that no
one wanted to leave the cardroom or casino on Sunday morning, despite the fact
that it had stopped raining. The casino door was like a time portal leading back
to the present and nobody was ready to return just yet. It was also great
catching up with "old" friends and even making new friends. No
counselors or groups. We were all on the same page. I thank the Lansman family
for creating the place for us to have these memories. Much deserved praise to
Mikey, Robin, and Lois for their labor of love and to Kenny for all his
assistance ( I owe you $12 dollars for a hat and I'll get it to you this
weekend). Thanks also to Mitch and Adam for the website and to Lisa for the CD.
The scenes seemed so familiar. Kenny Wiesen's mad
dash(He was always running from something.)...Mark Lederkramer's trash talk(I
think he invented the term.)...Barry Moskowitz smashing my tennis return at net
(His height advantage is so unfair!)...Robin Rosenblum Rehders laughing at
jokes(Her epidermis is still showing!)Mitchell Regenbogen marvelling about Buddy
Rich (Who was that guy??)...Stacey Elias singing color war songs (How does she
remember all the words?)...My brother Martin making a diving catch (I taught him
everything he knows!)....I could be talking about the summer of 1973! Is it
incredible that I can so enjoy hanging out and playing with you all after 30
years? No. That is the uniqueness of Lansmans! And that is why I always looked
so forward to my summers. Thank you to everyone who called or posted a message expressing their gratitude to the planning committee. Hi everyone, Just wanted to thank all of you who sent me a message via phone during the reunion. Hearing your voices put a big smile on my
face. Thanks Bobbi for following thru with that request! Being part of the reunion was as if I crossed over into another dimension of time. So many years had passed but it was as if no time had elaspsed. It was surreal, standing at the campgrounds seeing people from my childhood and realizing this was not a dream was an incredible experience. I don't think words can even describe what was in our hearts at the time. We were all "one" again, even if it was only a few hours- one big joyous happy Lansman family! Thank you all who worked so very hard to make this the success it was and thanks to everyone who came from near and far. I apologize to some of you whom I didn't have enough time to talk to or even finish a conversation, but I saw you and you all remain forever in my heart! You're all still beautiful, yes years have passed & everything does change but our love for one another has remained the same. Let's all keep in touch. Be well everyone and let's hope it's not another 30yrs. before we meet again.Peace & love to everyone!Brandi
I have been thinking of the right words to express my feelings about "the
weekend". I must say that Brandi's words hit the mark and say it better
than I ever could (this is probably why I was never asked to write Color War
Songs...!) It was wonderfull. It was a joy to see all you kids grown up and so beautiful. It was with great pleasure that I caught up with all my friends of summer. My sincerest thanks to the great committee that made this all happen. You all did a great job. It was an incredible weekend and made more so by the people who worked so hard to organize it. It really showed in everything that was done. The best part was seeing everyone and feeling the warmth and love that just emanated at the campgrounds, the dinner and entertainment and the brunch. It was hard to say goodbye to everyone. It was a happening. It was like a special episode of "The Twilight Zone." Seeing everyone in today's world was awesome. I expected everyone to break out in song, and they did. It was wonderful. See you all in five years like you promised. Hi guys. It has been a full week since the reunion and I am still reflecting on how wonderful it was to see everyone. To walk around the colony was like going back in time...It was especially good to see the benior soys.. it has been around 25 years you know. I really loved talking to my buddy Liz....and my friends from the last cool senior girls, and so many more...The best part would be to pick up some of these old dusty friendships and create new ones...Love to you all, Robyn P>S. thank you all for working so hard on the reunion. especially to my dear friend Lois. It was fantastic seeing you and what a super job you did planning this event and coordinating it...You missed your calling...social director. And yes I recieved the check yesterday thank you .p.s.s Are there anymore pictures posted from the reunion? |
