For over sixty years, Lansman’s Day Camp has provided youngsters, from the ages of 3-14, with a fun and exciting summer. The Lansman’s Day Camp experience is a magical mix of spirit, friendship and fun. Our Camp continues to take on a revitalized and fresh appearance with our Nursery play area, refurbished air-conditioned nursery and beautiful camp playground.

Our 2010 summer will be filled with an active and dynamic program, all designed to make the camper’s experience safe, rewarding and down right fun! If you’ve been a current Lansman’s camper, haven’t tried us in awhile or are new to Lansman’s, we urge you to check us out.

OUR FACILITIES

Lansman’s Day Camp is located on Murphy Road, one mile west of Woodbourne on Rte. 52, between Woodbourne and Loch Sheldrake. We are situated on 97 beautiful open and wooded acres in Sullivan County. Our facilities include a 35x70 foot-heated swimming pool, 4 tennis courts, a full-sized basketball court, softball/baseball field, volleyball court, soccer field, 4 paddleball courts, separate enclosed state of the art air-conditioned nursery building with a protective outside play area, new camp playground, theatrical stage and sound system for camp productions, projection movie theatre, arts & crafts center and a restaurant for nutritious hot and cold meals and snacks.

OUR DIRECTORS

We are very excited to welcome Andrea Mandelberger as our Camp Director. Andrea is a New York City Elementary school teacher. She is state certified in General and Special education. Andrea has worked in day camps for many years. She has extensive camp leadership experience. Andrea is a long time resident of Lansman’s Housing Corporation. We are privileged to have her lead our camp for the summer 2010 season. This summer campers will get to experience both new and traditional Lansman’s activities. Under Andrea’s leadership, Lansman’s Day Camp will continue to thrive as a premier summer camp in Sullivan County. Andrea is looking forward to a safe and exciting summer. She looks forward to meeting you and your children. Under Andreas's directorship Summer 2010 promises to be a highly successful camping season.

Patty Seletsky will be returning to Lansmans for another wonderful, fun filled summer. Patty works at Fallsburg High school where she enjoys working with some of your children. Patty has worked at Lansman’s Day Camp for many years. She will be working with Andrea to ensure that the summer of 2010 is the best summer ever.

Our Nursery continues to thrive under the directorship of Barbara Dicken. This will be Barbara’s fourth summer at Lansman’s Day Camp. Barbara is an early childhood educator in Syosset, NY. She is state certified and highly qualified to work with your young children. Barbara is innovative, patient and caring, creating just the atmosphere we want for our children. We are thrilled that she will continue to nurture and care for our youngest campers.

In addition to our Directors, we welcome Ruth Kravit as Unit leader, and Jeff O’Neil as our sports specialist. Both are NYS certified teachers. Working with children is what they do best. We are very pleased to have them join our Lansman’s family.

Our administrative position is being held by Marjorie Tirsun, a long-time resident of Lansman’s. Marjorie is a New York State certified teacher with a Master's Degree in elementary education. Marjorie is looking forward to being an integral part of your children’s camp experience.
